ABOUT

Students will begin this course by identifying career paths within the vocational profession of Graphic Design & Illustration. They will learn illustration skills such as linear perspective or drawing through direct observation through the use of various mediums. Another area of study will be the use of color theory and application - applying the basic structure of color (hue, intensity, saturation) to generate color solutions. Students will also learn Graphic Design skills by using industry standard programs such as Adobe In Design, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Design, layout and production will be covered in this course by applying the elements of art and the principles of design to a multitude of projects. Students will also be able to identify the anatomy and classification of type, operate a digital camera and its accessories, prepare a portfolio and participate in the interview process while taking inventory of their personal career interests & goals.

CTP Design Student - Year 1

I'm Alex Graeff, I like pretty much anything to do with art. I particularly like traditional art and graphic design. In the future I wish to be a graphic designer but I also would like to do something with psychology. I'm currently a student at Octorara Junior-Senior High School in the CTP program for Design and Illustration. I am able to create brochures, flyers, posters, etc. I am also able to do traditional art, like sketches and paintings.

I'm Delaney, a Student in the Graphic Design and Illustration (OACTEP). I love seeing others' art and the excitement of creation in others, It inspires me to create, and I also love Music to death. Going to Millersville for Engineering but I would still like to do Illustration.

My name is TJ Witmer, and some of my hobbies are playing video games, watching sports such as NASCAR, and NFL, and drawing. I like to do graphic design because I like working with computers and making cool designs whether it be for myself or someone else.

I am currently attending Octorara Senior High School. From being a member of OACTEP Design & Illustration, I've learned skills such as Pencil Drawings, shading, more about colors like Color Theory and of the Color wheel. I've improved with drawing and have learned more about graphic design and how making art on a computer works as well as how to move around it. Working with Adobe Programs have allowed me to show more creativity because of the endless options there are to use, also helping with visual designs to help expand creative skills.

'm Tony. I have interests. Some of them include playing the video games, watching cool shows, cars sometimes, reading sometimes, drawing, and writing/typing. Currently I am a Senior and Second year OACTEP student. I believe my future involves doing something with art, design, or writing, or maybe all of that because I have so many ideas that I believe could be turned into something. I'm planning on going to PCAD which is close by art school because it focuses on art related things and I don't have to go out too far. Some of the services I could provide are making logos, coming up with ideas, and making awesome posters.

I'm a student in CTP graphic design year 3. junior, graphic designer and artist, and I enjoy creating, designing, and playing video games. I hope to be a concept artist for Nintendo, Mojang, or a similar game design company. I'm an avid duelist and love designing characters. known to talk to myself and act out most characters I design.

I am a Graphic Design student under an industry professional where I have spent 3 hours a day for the past 3 years focusing solely on Graphic Design and Illustration. This program hosted by my school's technical education department has allowed my to travel to state competitions for design and take part in those competitions, as well as work with clients from both within the community and in the industry proper. I am looking forward to attending post-secondary schooling for Design and specifically Visual Branding.
