ABOUT

Students will begin this course by identifying career paths within the vocational profession of Graphic Design & Illustration. They will learn illustration skills such as linear perspective or drawing through direct observation through the use of various mediums. Another area of study will be the use of color theory and application - applying the basic structure of color (hue, intensity, saturation) to generate color solutions. Students will also learn Graphic Design skills by using industry standard programs such as Adobe In Design, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Design, layout and production will be covered in this course by applying the elements of art and the principles of design to a multitude of projects. Students will also be able to identify the anatomy and classification of type, operate a digital camera and its accessories, prepare a portfolio and participate in the interview process while taking inventory of their personal career interests & goals.

CTP Design Student - Year 2

Currently enrolled as a senior at Octorara Area High School, I am actively participating in the Graphic Design Technical Program. My passion lies in designing and creating visually compelling content, and I aspire to pursue a career as a Graphic Designer or Art Director. Proficient in various Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, I have practical experience working with clients, including libraries and other businesses, to craft logos and designs. Beyond the realm of academics, my interests extend to activities like hiking, playing the violin, and reading, all of which serve as significant sources of inspiration for my creative endeavors.

Liz Bicking

CTP Design Student - Year 2

My name is Elizabeth Bicking and I am a senior in the OACTEP Graphic Design & Illustration program at Octorara Junior Senior High School. I greatly enjoy the various creative arts, I've participated in my school's Spring musical since 8th grade and have been in the chorus since 3rd grade. Art has been my focus since middle school, I'm mainly a digital artist but I've recently taken an interest in graphic designing. My biggest inspirations have probably been the people around me, from their jokes to their own work. My dream is to become a video game designer and create my own games, or to be an illustrator and illustrate books or comics. I hope to go to West Chester University after I graduate.

I've worked with graphic design, photography, and illustration, but I mainly specialize in illustration work.

My name is TJ Witmer, and some of my hobbies are playing video games, watching sports such as NASCAR, and NFL, and drawing. I like to do graphic design because I like working with computers and making cool designs whether it be for myself or someone else.

CTP Design Student - Year 1

My name is Kadence Connors and I am a senior at Octorara. I am currently in the OACTEP Art & Design program. I enjoy hanging out with my friends in Buster, going to Wawa, listening to Taylor Swift, and watching Young Sheldon with my cat and dog. After high school I am going into the U.S Army as a Public Affairs Mass Communication Specialist. I am good with designing stuff on the computer. Let me know if you need anything done along those lines.

Tony Lash

CTP Design Student - Year 1

I'm Tony. I have interests. Some of them include playing the video games, watching cool shows, cars sometimes, reading sometimes, drawing, and writing/typing. Currently I am a junior and first year OACTEP student. I believe my future involves doing something with art, design, or writing, or maybe all of that because I have so many ideas that I believe could be turned into something. I'm not exactly sure what school i should go to yet. Some of the services I could provide are making logos, coming up with ideas, and making awesome posters.

I'm Aiden. Im' a OACTP art and design student. I enjoy drawing original characters and designs that have a mix of basic and complicated style. I would like to go into graphic design and or animation at some point in time. I am able to design backgrounds and logos.

My name is Neve Wiseman and I am currently a Senior at Octorara High School. I am in the Graphic Design & Illustration OACTEP program. Art, animation/ storytelling and graphic design are some of my favorite things and I will be attending University of the Arts in fall 2024 with a major in animation. I have done client work in the past, so if you are interested feel free to contact me! I can do pretty much anything from logos to cover art, so you name it.

CTP Design Student - Year 2

I'm a student in CTP graphic design year 2. junior, graphic designer and artist, and I enjoy creating, designing, and playing video games. I hope to be a concept artist for Nintendo, Mojang, or a similar game design company. I'm an avid duelist and love designing characters. known to talk to myself and act out most characters I design.
